Ole Hanson was a real estate developer and politician and also co-founded Lake Forest Park, Washington in 1912 as a rural community for Professionals in Seattle. He was born in Racine County, Wisconsin and served in the Washington House of Representatives and later became the 33rd Mayor of Seattle. He was in office for only a year but it didn't take him long to become famous. He broke the Seattle General Strike of 1919 which triggered his unsuccessful Republican presidential nomination the year after. After his failed candidacy, he left Washington for California and founded the city of San Clemente in 1925.
